These Daily Devotionals are meant to accompany the previous Sunday’s message at Restoration Church. A new devotional will be posted each day following the sermon.

Seven-Day Devotionals: “Do You See It?”

Day 1 — Remembering Without Living There

Scripture:
“Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago.”
— Isaiah 43:18 (NLT)

Reflection:
God does not dismiss the past—but He refuses to let it define the future. Israel’s deliverance from Egypt was miraculous, yet God says, “Forget all that.” Not because it lacked value, but because He was about to do something even greater. Sometimes our greatest obstacle to seeing the new thing is our attachment to what God did before.

Ask yourself: Am I honoring the past—or hiding in it?

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for what You have done. Help me release what no longer serves Your present work in my life. Free my vision to see what You are doing now. Amen.

Day 2 — God Is Always Ahead of Us

Scripture:
“For I am about to do something new.”
— Isaiah 43:19a (NLT)

Reflection:
Before we sense it, before we see it, before we understand it—God is already moving. His declaration is not reactive; it is intentional. The new thing is not a response to failure or delay. It is part of His eternal plan.

Faith grows when we trust not only what God has done—but what He has promised.

Prayer:
God, help me trust that You are already at work, even when I cannot yet perceive it. Strengthen my faith to rest in Your promises. Amen.

Day 3 — “I Have Already Begun”

Scripture:
“See, I have already begun! Do you not see it?”
— Isaiah 43:19b (NLT)

Reflection:
God’s question is revealing. The issue is not whether He is working—it is whether we are spiritually attentive. New beginnings often start quietly, beneath the surface, before they become obvious.

Spiritual discernment grows when we slow down long enough to notice God’s subtle movements.

Prayer:
Open my eyes, Lord. Sharpen my spiritual awareness so I do not miss what You have already begun. Amen.

Day 4 — Pathways in the Wilderness

Scripture:
“I will make a pathway through the wilderness.”
— Isaiah 43:19c (NLT)

Reflection:
A wilderness is not the absence of God—it is often the place where He reveals Himself most clearly. God does not promise to remove every wilderness season, but He does promise direction within it.

Where you see confusion, God sees a pathway.

Prayer:
Lord, guide me through the wilderness places of my life. Help me trust You step by step, even when the way is unfamiliar. Amen.

Day 5 — Rivers Where There Was None

Scripture:
“I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”
— Isaiah 43:19d (NLT)

Reflection:
Dry places can feel lifeless, unproductive, and discouraging—but they are not beyond God’s reach. Rivers speak of provision, renewal, and abundance. God specializes in bringing life where none should exist.

What feels dry today may become tomorrow’s testimony.

Prayer:
God, bring Your refreshing presence into the dry places of my heart and life. Let Your Spirit flow where I feel empty. Amen.
