A Prayer for Growth, Faithfulness, and God’s Glory at Restoration Church
Father God,
We come before You with grateful hearts. We remember where You brought us from—
from living rooms and folding chairs, from funeral chapels to storefronts, from small beginnings that only You could sustain.
Thank You for every person You have entrusted to Restoration Church over these past years,
for every life touched, every prayer answered, every setback that taught us to depend on You.
Lord, we confess that we need You still.
We don’t want growth for our name, our comfort, or our reputation.
We don’t want numbers without disciples, crowds without community, or activity without Your presence.
But we do ask—honestly and humbly—that You would grow what You have planted here.
If it pleases You, God, send more people who are hungry for truth,
who need healing, restoration, and hope in Jesus.
Enlarge our reach, not so we can be seen, but so Christ can be known.
Stretch our faith, our love, and our capacity to shepherd well.
Search our hearts, Lord.
Remove anything in us that would hinder what You want to do—
fear, comparison, discouragement, or subtle pride.
Teach us to be faithful with the people we have
and trusting with the people You are yet to send.
We surrender our timeline, our expectations, and our definitions of success to You.
Build Your church here, Jesus—Your way, in Your time, for Your glory.
And whether You grow us wider, deeper, or both,
help us remain a people who love well, serve faithfully, and depend completely on You.
We ask all of this not because we deserve it,
but because You are good, You are faithful,
and You delight in bringing life where Your gospel is preached.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.”
